SHARING FILES BETWEEN TWO COMPUTERS VIA LAN OR WAN

If you want to transfer files from one computer to another, despite using a mass storage device(normally pendrives are used), you can directly connect the two(or even more) computers either through wifi(WAN connection) or using a category 5 cable(LAN connection) easily available in the market.

I have already shown you how to connect two(or more) computers via wifi. Now for LAN connection simply connect the two ends of the category 5 cable into the LAN port of the two computers. To make sure that the computers are connected, go to
Network from My Computer (see figure). Your computer name will be displayed in your partner's  computer and vice versa.
Now after establishing a connection between the two computers(LAN or WAN), follow these steps to enable sharing of files/folders on the computer from which it needed to transfer :

          i.  right click on the folder to be shared(from your partners computer if files are to be transferred from your partner's computer to your's)  and go to Properties

ii.  now go to Sharing option on top of the dialog box and  click the Share button(see figure)

iii.  in the next dialog box select Everyone from the drop down list and click the Add button(see figure)

iv.  in the Everyone option, from the down arrow as shown in figure select Read/Write option and finally click on Share button

         v.  now in the next dialog box press the Done button

Now let us suppose that files are to be transferred from your partner's computer to yours, all you have to do is just go to Network (already shown above) from your computer, there you can see the name of your partner's computer. Now simply double click there and you can see the folders shared by your partner.
Now you can copy the required files/folders to the desired location in your computer.
