CREATE YOUR OWN WIFI HOTSPOT

Nowadays almost every smart pc or laptop comes with integrated wifi adapter unlike the old days. With a wifi enabled pc(or laptop), you can:
           i. connect to any wifi hotspot available and access to the internet(everyone is aware of)

ii. transfer or share files between two or more computers

          iii. play multiplayer games

However, to connect to any wifi hotspot, you need not have to make your own hotspot. All you need to do is just turn your wifi adapter on, search for any available hotspot and connect to it (if it is open otherwise you have to type the password in order to gain aceess to it)
But for sharing files between computers, besides turning on your wifi adapter, you(or your partner) need to create a hotsopt in which
your partner(or you incase your partner creates a hotspot) have to connect to it.
Now, to create a hotspot follow these steps:
          1. go to Open Network and Sharing Centre, either directly from the taskbar or from the Control Panel (as shown in the figures)

          2. now go to Set up a new connection or network (see figure)

           3. now select Set up a wireless ad hoc network and click next button(see figure)

          4. in the dialog box again click on next button

          5. now in the next dialog box, type the network name for your hotspot (any name e.g your name, your pc name, etc)

           6. now select the security type of your network (select open if you want everyone to connect to your network without any password, select WAP or WPA2 PSK if you want everyone to connect to your network via a password) and click the next button

After you have created your hotspot, you can see it from your taskbar which shows Waiting for users(see figure)  until your partner connects to it. After it connects you can share files between the two(or even more) computers and also enjoy multiplayer games.

If you liked please share and follow

In my next post I will show you how to share files between computers via wifi or LAN connection.
